CipSoft
CipSoft was founded in 2001 as a developer and publisher based in Regensburg. The four founders remain shareholders in the company to this day; the company operates independently of external investors and employs almost 100 staff. Three of them continue to play an active role in the company.
CipSoft used its 2021 company anniversary as an opportunity to give back to society, donating a total of 365,000 euros to various charitable organisations such as Médecins Sans Frontières and the WHO. The workforce also benefited from CipSoft’s anniversary celebrations, as the company perfectly embodies the qualities of a modern employer in the games industry. Whether it’s game jams for young talent, flexible working hours, a ban on accumulating overtime, or a personal training budget – CipSoft is just as committed to the well-being of its staff as it is to helping them balance family and work.
In terms of its core business, CipSoft has perfected its niche as a “typical German family-run SME” to such an extent that it can compete internationally at Champions League level. Its early foray into the development of a blockchain game demonstrates that, whilst the Regensburg-based company is mindful of its own corporate tradition, it is also open to new trends.
