The submission period for the current year is closed. Submissions will be possible again next year.

You can sign up via our reminder form to be notified in good time.

How do I submit a game

  • 01 Create account or log in

Submitters can find all the necessary information at www.deutscher-computerspielpreis.de. The “Login” button is located at the top right of the page. Submitters can create an account there. Most of the required information and assets can now be submitted directly online.
  • 02 Prepare information

Once the account has been created, the game/prototype can be submitted via the profile by clicking on the “Submit game now” or “Submit prototype now” button.
  • 03 Fill out the form

Submissions must be justified in order to facilitate a transparent selection process. The justification should refer to the category definition. Submission is free of charge. Eight copies of the submitted game must be provided to the award office for each game in each category. At the end of the submission process, applicants must generate a PDF with the affidavit. This must be signed and sent to the award office by post or email by the deadline, or it can be uploaded using the submission tool. After submission, the affidavit can also be recreated for all submitted games in the profile under “My Submissions.”
  • 04 Submitting for the 'Best International Game' category

Games that are being submitted for the 'Best International Game' category can also be submitted by mail. If you want to submit by mail please send a mail containing the following to kontakt@computerspielpreis.de.
    • Title of the game
    • Name of the developer
    • Name of the publisher
    • 20 copies of the game (download codes are sufficient)
    • Link to the Cover art from the game in horizontal format
    • Link to a trailer
    • Link to 10 minutes of gameplay-footage
We will then confirm your submission or let you know if there is anything missing. Please note: Submitting by mail is not possible if you are submitting a game for any other category than 'Best International Game'.
  • 05 Questions and confirmation

If the submission was successful, this will be indicated in the account. The awards office can help with any further questions.
