About the Jury

The winners of most categories of the DCP are determined in a two-stage system. First, twelve expert juries deliberate on the nominations in most categories before the main jury selects the winners from these nominations. In the categories ‘Best German Game’, ‘Best International Game’ and ‘Special Jury Prize’, the main jury determines the winners from the totality of all submitted games / special prize candidates. However, the expert juries may make recommendations for these categories. Two members of each expert jury are also part of the main jury at the same time, which consists of up to forty people. The main jury decides on the final award.
