Wiblu

Wiblu stands out as an adventure game with a unique, hand-drawn style. The promising storytelling is complemented by a rich auditory experience. The game’s unique selling point is its exploration and depiction of Bavarian forests and myths. As the chieftain’s daughter of the Hommlinger tribe, we set out in search of rare ingredients to save her grandmother, Aya. On this journey, we discover the consequences for the world in which the eponymous protagonist lives of the war between the three ruling peoples: the tyrannical dragons, the haughty and cultured nymphs, and the nomadic people of the blacksmithing and virtuous buffalo. The gameplay in the prototype includes a lengthy introduction to the game’s world, initial dialogues with various characters, as well as simple puzzles and platforming elements. The prototype already gives a very good first impression of the potential lying dormant in this project by the young studio Donausaurus and is reminiscent – in a positive way – of the hit interactive novel Gris.
