Typoman blends the fascinating dark visuals of Limbo with clever wordplay: No puzzle can be solved without correctly combining individual letters. Thanks to its superbly crafted atmosphere, the game has a compelling pull. At the same time, Typoman unfortunately stands as a prime example of a fundamental problem with German games: Typoman is a high-quality production that impresses with its audiovisual qualities, yet it still risks falling far below the radar of public attention and into obscurity. The jury therefore hopes that this nomination will encourage all ambitious developers to continue taking risks on innovative and brilliantly crafted games like Typoman.
