Kleine Löschmeister addresses the dangers of fire and fire prevention, presenting the topic in a way that’s perfectly tailored to its target audience. With a custom-designed avatar by their side, children—especially those between the ages of 5 and 6—immerse themselves in the daily life of a firefighter, load the fire truck for a call, rescue people or animals from burning houses, and put out fires. In the process, they not only learn how to evacuate a burning house, how to behave in the event of a fire, and how to find the emergency exit, but also which materials burn and can be extinguished with water. The app prioritizes high accessibility: everything can be tried out firsthand, and communication with the players is entirely text-free. This is achieved through the app’s charming and clear visual design, effective imagery and visual language, and appropriate animations. In this way, Kleine Löschmeister conveys valuable content on fire prevention in an exciting and entertaining manner, without coming across as a purely educational game.
