About the German Computer Game Awards (DCP)
The German Computer Game Awards (DCP) are the most important awards for the German games industry and have been presented since 2009. With the DCP, the Federal Government – represented by the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Spaceflight – together with game, the German Games Industry Association, honor the best computer and video games of the year ‘Made in Germany’.
Expert and main juries composed of high-ranking industry professionals select the best games based on criteria such as quality, innovation, gameplay, as well as cultural and educational value. The DCP award office is hosted by the Foundation for Digital Games Culture. The 2026 award ceremony is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs.
