Ubisoft Düsseldorf
Ubisoft Düsseldorf has been the new name since 2019 of Blue Byte, a long-established game developer founded in 1988, making it one of the oldest German game companies in existence. Famous for its The Settlers series, the studio was acquired by Ubisoft in 2001 and has since released numerous internationally successful games, including, above all, additional Settlers titles, as well as co-productions such as For Honor and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. From its base in Düsseldorf, the studio organizes programs to support emerging talent and foster growth, such as the Ubisoft Gaming School for students and Indie Camp, an acceleration program for startups from the DACH region. Currently, the studio is making a name for itself as a pioneer in virtual reality games with Prince of Persia: Dagger of Time, featuring innovative concepts in both gameplay and business model, thereby contributing to the global development of the VR market. With over 400 employees, Ubisoft Düsseldorf is one of the largest German studios and is part of the German Ubisoft studio network, Ubisoft Blue Byte.
