In Townsmen VR, players can experience the strategy game genre in a completely new way. Thanks to the clever use of VR technology, combined with graphics, sound and interactive features, the game offers a remarkably high level of immersion and plenty of fun. Although the VR game currently offers less than an hour’s playtime (Early Access), it is a game that already showcases genuine innovation in game design. Townsmen VR is a strategy game in which players can interact with the characters and the world in a completely new and entertaining way. The characters are controlled by the player moving them, as if by divine intervention, using their oversized virtual hands to the point in the game where work needs doing: felling trees, catching fish, building houses, and so on. Players can influence the weather as well as playfully tease the inhabitants. What’s particularly remarkable is the high level of immersion, which has been perfectly realised through graphics, sound and camera control within the current state of VR technology.
