The aim is to build a large rail network so that raw materials can be traded and passengers transported. You can also construct buildings to produce or extract raw materials. A detailed tutorial (playable without registration) explains the basic gameplay elements. The graphics are extremely detailed and appealing. The background music is decent, but lacks variety. The game is based on HTML5 technology and therefore runs on almost any modern browser – including many smartphones and tablet PCs.
Conclusion: As a ‘classic’ browser game, SteamPower1830 makes a very good first impression.
