Epic Guardian
Epic Guardian has everything that makes for a great mobile game. It offers an interesting blend of clicker gameplay and traditional role-playing elements. These elements, in particular, provide remarkable depth that contrasts with the automated combat sequences, requiring players to manage their gear and items wisely in order to emerge victorious from battles. Those looking to play with others can also request support for upcoming battles. Despite all this, Epic Guardian doesn’t take itself too seriously: The art style, which is clearly inspired by Minecraft, reflects this, as do the story and the characters’ sometimes exaggerated, stereotypical animations. As expert jury, we deliberately chose to nominate a free-to-play game that, while offering the option for in-app purchases, never presents them as intrusive or absolutely necessary.
