Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping

The Ghost of Glamping ties in perfectly with its predecessor, The Secret Salami: this humorous detective game is very accessible and introduces its mechanics seamlessly and playfully at the start of the story.

From the very first minute, players can easily immerse themselves in the world of the Duck Detective, inspired by classic noir detective stories. The lovingly designed anthropomorphic characters strike just the right balance between comedy, tongue-in-cheek references to their role models, and a generally high likeability factor. This is supported above all by the unique artwork with a high recognition value and the excellent voice acting. The dialogue direction, timing, and tonality are precisely executed. The charming humor arises from rhythm, timing, and tonal attitude.

As a sequel which also works independently, this game presents itself as audibly matured. A darker atmosphere mixes with the previously lighter mood and reinforces the feeling of a “cartoon (also) for adults.” The jazz and noir-inspired score remains deliberately understated to give space to the dialogue, while precisely placed sound effects support the gameplay. Interactions and acoustic accents have been designed to create atmosphere and placed with pinpoint accuracy. The outstanding quality here lies not in size or spectacle, but in clarity, character development, and careful acoustic refinement.
