Dreams
Dreams isn’t a game in the strict sense, but it offers a whole universe of creative possibilities. In Dreams, players create, share, and use multimedia—mostly interactive—content, ranging from film and music to virtual sculpture and games… the possibilities are endless and dreamlike.
To create their own games, players use a programming system (Logic) based on the visual arrangement of queries, conditions, and so on—similar to a mind map. Programming game mechanics isn’t easy, but it’s never been easier than with Logic.
The slightly impressionistic style of all the building blocks offered by Dreams gives most creations a distinctive aesthetic.
For now, recreations of well-known games and trailers still dominate the Dreams universe, but these are just initial warm-ups before players and aspiring developers hopefully surprise us with works that push genre boundaries and break with gaming traditions. Above all, Dreams is the promise that the community’s creativity will lead to dreamlike results and great gaming fun.
Dreams not only brings the community together to play, but also fosters and rewards creative, artistic collaboration in the creation of all content. Dreams is the ultimate middleware between the infinite complexity of digital worlds and the boundless imagination of players.
