Skuggor

The first-person puzzle adventure Skuggor transports us into the abstract mind of Fyn, an architecture student who moves abroad to study. When Fyn is suddenly confronted with major problems in his studies and personal life, he retreats into a fantasy world made of cardboard and gradually loses touch with reality. The story is gradually revealed through escape-room-style puzzles, utilising mechanics already familiar from successful games such as Portal and The Stanley Parable. The lovingly designed levels, made from cardboard, drawing materials and objects from Fyn’s past, lend the game a special charm and, moreover, a unique visual identity. The puzzles playable in the prototype are already great fun and offer the first glimpses of Fyn’s past, as well as a gentle learning curve, good ideas and a gaming experience so free of bugs that the expert jury is extremely optimistic about the project’s future.
