The game world of Forge of Empires spans from the Stone Age to the height of the Middle Ages. Over the course of the eras, the initial settlement of humble wooden huts evolves into magnificent cities with complex infrastructure. This is precisely the core of the strategy game: as players plan, build, optimize, research, explore, and conquer wisely, they gain access to increasingly effective production buildings and technologies. This allows you to maintain larger armies and gradually expand your empire. Forge of Empires impresses with detailed graphics, enormous scope, a wealth of options, pleasant background music, and challenging turn-based battles. Unlike some other browser games, Forge of Empires provides weeks of enjoyment even if you don’t use the in-game purchase options. Even though the depictions of the Bronze Age or the early Middle Ages don’t always align with historical accuracy—in favor of gameplay enjoyment—the game can still spark curiosity about historical events and contexts.
