Squirrel & Bär

The lovingly animated app Squirrel & Bär is aimed at a very young audience, offering them a first glimpse into the world of English vocabulary in a way that is as playful as it is charming. Girls and boys join the cute squirrel and the clumsy bear as they set out to help other animals. The text is spoken in English and repeated in German. This allows children to pick up their first words almost without realising it, without any heavy-handed teaching. Later on, individual words can be selected and listened to in a separate illustrated dictionary. The adventure is livened up by child-friendly mini-games, such as planting flowers. Children are never overwhelmed at any point and can easily find their way around the appealing visual worlds.
