Fire

In this adventure game, the endearing Neanderthal Ungh becomes a hero against his will. Because the poor chap fell asleep whilst on night watch, the fire goes out, and from then on he sets out in search of a new source of fire. Fire doesn’t make a big fuss about it, but wins you over with its intuitive puzzle design, very funny animations and impresses with its low barrier to entry. As this witty game consistently avoids written text, no reading skills are required. Children work their way through the entertaining and sometimes tricky puzzles by trial and error. The joy of exploration is encouraged by clear cues throughout the game. The clearly defined graphical elements also make it obvious which items can be used and which cannot. Unlike many other games in this genre, logic takes centre stage when solving the puzzles. A game that’s absolutely suitable for the whole family.
