ViSP – Virtual Space Port
With its concept, ViSP capitalizes on the success of construction and city building games in Germany and has good prospects of continuing this success with new virtual reality technologies. In ViSP, players create their own space station and economy, whose resources must be managed and whose defenses must be carefully planned. The goal is to connect all the fragments in open space to a central core and keep the structure intact for a certain amount of time. A high score is achieved only if the structure thrives economically and effectively and includes a robust defense system. Various modules that produce resources or energy help build this economy, while defense modules (protective blocks, lasers, etc.) help withstand attacks from a variety of enemies. The fun of the game is primarily determined by the player’s own creativity and the successful management of the station. The player’s curiosity about which creations work and which do not increases the game’s replay value and encourages long gaming sessions as well as social interaction with the ViSP community. Additionally, the well-developed concept offers a realistic outlook on the next steps.
