Red Dead Online is a striking example of how Rockstar has been able to draw on the experience gained from the multiplayer mode of the first game and from GTA Online to create and operate an innovative and constantly evolving game service. The freedom to choose in-game whether you’d rather tackle a story-based mission with like-minded players or perhaps go it alone against other players in a competitive mode on the server fits well with the Wild West setting and is already proving a hit even in the beta phase. Whether it’s spontaneous challenges, the recently added Battle Royale mode, or the many other discoveries and encounters you can have in the superbly crafted game world: Red Dead Online offers players far more than just elements of classic multiplayer modes. The combination of all these factors already makes the title one of the best international multiplayer games of the year.
