Misgiven

We engage in multiple-choice conversations in countless computer games. But very often, the innovations end with the layout of the pre-written answers; instead of conversing, we traverse a tree diagram. This does not envoke the feeling of really talking to other people.

Misgiven captures the uncertainties and inhibitions in a conversation with an uncertain outcome with a brilliant idea: The protagonist of the graphic adventure sees more or less courageous response options. What she actually says depends on how relaxed and open she feels at that moment. Unfortunately, she quickly stumbles into a tense negotiation situation under a false identity. Every sentence becomes a challenge. The innovation lies in a familiar genre – a graphic adventure.

The mix of new ideas and tried-and-tested controls is convincing. With a gripping atmosphere and thoroughly professional presentation, the game captivates us. The story elegantly transports current topics such as empathy, freedom, inequality, oppression, and environmental destruction into a science fiction setting. Never before have we looked forward to a toxic fine dust tsunami as much as we do here.
